A group of 6 Mature Girls on a relatively mature Hen Weekend.
We were made welcome with no problems caused by our staggered arrival times. The Hen who booked for us all had shuffled the room requirements from week to week with nothing but helpful responses.
We were allocated all 4 rooms in the annex at the rear of the house looking out onto the garden. This was great for our group. Just like having our own little country house for the weekend. We could come and go as we pleased sharing some wine and nibbles at the seating provided on the lawn (nice touch to have decent wine glasses in the rooms) then to town for cocktails. On our return later we could chatter and laugh into the night without disturbing guests in the main house.
My room had a very comfortable large double bed with beautiful linen (duvet & 4 comfy pillows). Plenty of wardrobe & drawer space. Tea & coffee came with nice supply of biscuits. Shower room was clean. The shower was not overly large for my ample frame, but not the smallest I have come across, and perfectly adequate.
Breakfast was good. A good selection of items to chose from with staff happy to get you whatever combination you asked for without any problems.
Some other reviewers have made comment about the train line running along the back of the annex. I would say personally it is not particularly noticeable. The trains seem to travel slowly by with a low trundle sound if anything. Certainly no more noticeable than the traffic noise from the fairly busy road at the front of the Hotel/Guest House, and far less frequent. I was pleasantly surprised by the peaceful oasis of the place so close to the centre of town.
I would defiantly stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Enjoyed a bottle of rose in the beautifully maintained hotel gardens. Great location, nice 5-10 min level walk to city centre. Basement room very nice, en-suite lovely with complimentary. Superb breakfast!

Really lovely hotel with extremely friendly staff and very tasty breakfasts. We would definitely come back again and. Let us leave car in their car park for the day as we were visiting the university and gave us great advice on dodging the traffic for our journey home which was greatly appreciated. We stayed in the annexe and were very happy with our room although the floor above was a bit noisy!
Lovely outdoor garden area which guests could use.

Really enjoyed our Bath experience. A pretty location & a level stroll to the Bath centre. Hearty breakfast with plenty of choice for all tastes. Thoughtful snacks & refreshments in room, spotless en-suite, & attractive décor.

Room Tip: The ground floor of the converted stables, Handy to lovely garden

The best thing about Pulteney House is the host couple - they were friendly and welcoming, genuinely interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible.
We loved being so close to the city center - really just a short walk.
I would recommend though to ask for a room in the main house as the roooms in the annex are very close to train tracks - but we would still stay at Pulteney House again!
