“Too expensive.”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

Don't usually moan about prices on my travels, but £14 for a half hour bus ride, often doubling back on itself to stretch the experience. Not bad commentary on what you saw, I guess it sums bath up, a lovely city to visit but the local businesses know how to make the most of it.

“Hop On Hop Off Sightseeing Bus Rides”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

We had the time, while visiting Bath, so we went on both the City Sightseeing and Skyline bus tours, which both provide commentary as we travelled, as well as being able to get off at one of the many stops, explore a bit, then get on a later bus top continue. Well worth a try, the prices allow for discounts of various types, and give you a greater knowledge of the points of interest around the town centre and also the perimeter areas..

“Excellent way of seeing the city”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

On a lovely day (yes, in March!!) this is the way to see the city of Bath, from the top deck. We had planned to hope off at the Fashion Museum and the first leg of the tour had a recorded guide which was very good. We 'hopped off' and then rejoined the tour later in the afternoon. This time there was a live commentary which was even better. Yes, either stay on and get your bearings in the city or jump off when you find something you want to visit. The buses run every 20 minutes and the full tour takes about 50 minutes, so you won't have to wait long for the next one. A piece of advice - if you are a National Trust member and have your card you receive a discount on your ticket!

“Hop on hop off”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

We didn't use this as hop on hop off as we had explored much of the area on foot the day before. The city tour was great and takes you around all the main sights. The skyline tour was also very informative and great to have a tour guide on board. Unfortunately it decided to hail and storm on us towards the end but the rest of the people kindly made space for us under the cover-I think my blue face helped! Highly recommended and if you search you can find a voucher code for a little discount! We also used one of the vouchers in the tour guide leaflet for dinner the friday evening at Giraffe which I highly recommend.

“Good to get a flavour of the city.”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

There are two bus tours here - one around the core of the city and another that covers the wider area (the skyline tour); both are included in the price of the single ticket. The tours each take around and hour and are hop on - hop off so you can do a quick wiz round and then stay on the bus to go back to the places that you want to see more of. There is a recorded commentary (8 languages) but disappointingly not all the headphone sockets worked on our bus. Not a major issue as we could move to other seats but when the bus is full you could find yourself unable to hear to guided tour. I think a human guide, as we have experienced in other city tours, would help to add some colour as they usually bring some local knowledge that a basic recoded guide often does not. Worth doing though.
