There are 2 open top bus tours operating by this company, the first does the city loop whilst the second, the skyline tour, does outer Bath region providing fantastic city views from the hills. The live tour guides on both buses were very good making the tours more interesting. They interacted regularly with passengers ensuring a great outing. They were very witty, informative and full of local knowledge and a lot of not so well known facts. These tours are excellent value.

Agree with others that Bath is not that big, but this is a great tour to do when you first arrive, especially if you are tired from traveling, as it helps orient you to the sights. We liked that the multilingual option included Mandarin Chinese (City Sightseeing in Dublin did not). Also, buy tix to this tour first before you go to the Roman baths because it will get you a discount there.

Although costing £12 a ticket, we felt this was quite a resaonable price considering that ticket allowed you to use the buses for 2 days, on 2 tour routes, provided discounts to other attractions and your tickets allow you 10% off at other 'City Sightseeing Tours' across the world.

The city tour, includes all the main sites in the City Centre, including the Abbey, Town Hall, The Circus, The Jane Austin Centre and the Royal Crescent. Included in the price you get headphones and if there is no live guide present then you can listen to the pre-recorded computerised commentary. This is okay if a little bit heavygoing but is no different to other tours, such as in London. Buses are every 15 minutes but I would certainly wait for one that has a live guide. It is possible to get off at every stop which is good. The only negative is that buses are no longer allowed to enter the Royal Crescent, but you can still get quite a good view.

The second tour (both take around 45 mins from start to finish), called the Skyline Tour, goes into the hills around bath and in my opinion was more interesting and allowed us to get to know the city a lot more. This tour provided great views of the city, the Cotswolds countryside and a view of the grand property on the top of the hill (the name escapes me). The live guide we had on this tour especially made it, as she was very informative but was light-hearted (her name was Jude). If you buy the ticket, do not miss the Skyline Tour, it really is worth it.

I think this tour is good if you are a first time visitor to Bath and want to get to know where all the main Tourist attractions are and you can have a very interesting history lesson too. The only downside is the price, where the free Mayor of Bath tours are free (but you have to walk!).

To sum up; a good way to get to know the basics of Bath. But much more exploration is needed.
