My self and my partner and some friends stayed at The Hawkins the weekend before xmas - and it was a fabulous break. the owners are so friendly, and honestly they can't do enough for you! The rooms are fantastic - luxurious and spacious - with beautiful bathrooms.
Breakfast is a delight, everything on offer you could possibly wish for - fresh fruit salad, yoghurt's, cereal and an amazing cooked breakfast.
This hotel is only a short walk from Bath itself, and a taxi ride is only a few pounds.
We will definitely be going again and would - without doubt - highly recommend anyone to try it.

Room Tip: We had the 2 ground floor rooms - gorgeous!

We chose to book Hawkins of Bath as it was one of the few places that had a suite so our teenage boys are 'with us' but in a seperate room.
It was perfect - loads of space, very warm beds and we all loved the breakfast.
Diane's recommendations for eating out and book shops were really helpful.
Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short, but would definitely want to return.

Room Tip: The family suite has a twin room with door, a bath room (with shower over bath) in between the 2 bed...

In this case, the hosts are the cherry on the sundae. This B&B is beautiful, comfortable, warm, and breakfast was stellar. But my friend and I had to tear ourselves away from Glyn, who was so fun to talk with that we almost didn't get around to seeing Bath. I know that it's sometimes hard to discern if all the great reviews are true, but in this case, they are.

Room Tip: There are only four rooms and all are lovely.

Many Thanks 'Cholmley' for your kind words. It must have been one of Glyn's good days. Although, having so many nice people visit us makes for many good days. We hope that you did manage to see lots of The Beautiful city of Bath and that you will return for another trip. May we wish all the very best to yourselves in 2013, and also all of our lovely Guests that make 'Hawkins' such a nice place to spend time in.

Diane and Glyn gave me the very warmest of welcomes at their excellent Guest House. I have stayed in many B&B's/Guest Houses over the years, but none have matched up to Hawkins of Bath! It has a sign displaying 4 stars; believe me when I say that this establishment is very much 5 star. Spacious, immaculately clean rooms with a bed that gave me an extremely comfortable night. The breakfast was freshly cooked (something you rarely get in most hotels these days), wholesome and delicious, and it was substantial enough for me to forego lunch; which is rare for me!

Nothing was too much trouble for either of my fine hosts, and I am certain that, given the passion they both have for their business, they will continue to gain excellent reviews and loyal customers for many years to come.

A great base from which to visit this fabulous City, and to chill out or get on with some work in a friendly, tranquil, family run guest house - highly recommended!

Room Tip: Book in advance - it's a popular place!

I stayed here for the second time yesterday.. Me and my girlfriend went to the b and b a year ago and fell in love with the place.. The rooms are very clean, classy and elegant.. Each room is spacious and is decorated with exquisite taste.. The beds are amazing could have slept in them for days.. The breakfast in the morning is cooked to a High standard, with a variety of choices of both cold and hot food.. We couldn't have been welcomed more by glyn and dianne.. They are wonderful people who run a high quality friendly business. Can not wait to go up there again..

I cannot think of a single negative to Hawkins of Bath. Room was perfect, breakfast was perfect, the welcome was perfect. We felt at home, yet also spoiled. Glyn and Diane were born to run a b&b, they pitch it just right. We will definitely return, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when in Bath.

Nothing has been too much trouble from our hosts durning our two night stay. Warm and welcoming. Only a 20 minute stroll into Bath town centre. Very clean, tidy, modern finish with traditional features. If your planning a trip you won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here.
