Just back from 5th visit. Outstanding service, location and accommodation. Only B&& but an excellent breakfast and easy walk into Bath for wide choice of eating places. Run by lovely, friendly people. Nice views from front across Victoria Park.

Room Tip: Three levels - good, better, best - but all are v comfortable and price reflects size and outlook.

We stayed at the Villa Magdala for a night as a base for a trip to see the Bath Christmas market. Great location, a short walk to the town centre and it also has parking - something of a rarity in Bath. Very friendly staff, large and comfortable room and an excellent breakfast - with Buck's Fizz if you want to start the day on a high note. If we go back to Bath we'll definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front are probably noisier as they face the road

Lovely review, thank you. And for taking the time, in the run up to Christmas when everyone is so busy. We'll look forward to seeing you again!

Arrival started with a welcoming cup of tea during which the we were booked in. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and booked a restaurant for our evening meal. The bedroom (GOOD category) was very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast menu was almost too long with a great variety of options. Having said that, the breakfasts were substantial and well freshly cooked. A major benefit of the hotel is the availability of parking and as it is only a short walk into the city, you can safely leave your car . All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Parking is a real problem in Bath particularly during the Christmas Market period so our car-park is a real bonus as you point out. We look forward to seeing you again!

Very welcoming on arrival we arrived much earlier than our check in time but were allowed to park the car in the car park and go off into bath.
We had 3 'best' rooms and they were all excellent standard comfortable clean and everything we needed the only negative if I had to choose one is the mattresses were very soft but that's more personal preference .
Will be booking again for next years XMAS market.

So pleased that we'll be seeing you all again. This year's Christmas Market was one the best yet - and I know Bath Tourism Plus will be working even harder for next year to keep the standards steadily increasing. Thank you for your review!

My girlfriend and I travelled to Bath to celebrate our one year anniversary. We found the Villa Magdala pretty last minute on google and decided to give it a go due to it's competitive rates, good proximity to the city centre and the positive ratings it had received on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The room was stunning and the facilities great, breakfast looked fantastic even though we missed it due to being a bit worse for wear! However, the stand-out thing for us was the impeccable service we received on both arrival and departure. You could not wish for a nicer concierge than the Australian girl who dealt with us. Not only was she extremely helpful with the standard procedure, but she was more than forthcoming with little perks that really brighten a trip (e.g. bringing wine glasses up to our room and not charging corkage for the bottle we brought back). Will definitely be returning to this place the next time I'm in Bath.

We're delighted you enjoyed your anniversary in Bath! There is one thing though - we have two lovely australian girls working with us at the moment and both are claiming the accolade for good service!!! Seriously though, all our team try their very best to look after our guests - and thats not too difficult as most guests are simply delightful!!!! Thank you for your kind comments.

A lovely hotel with really brilliant service. Just a very short walk to all Bath has to offer.
The rooms were perfect and very spacious. The breakfast was an absolute joy, of which I would love to enjoy everyday! I would 100% recommend this to everyone. When I visit Bath again which is a beautiful city, I will be certain to stay at Villa Magdala again, cant wait!

Room Tip: All rooms are perfectly situated.

What a find! Highly recommend this stunning B & B - 5 minutes walk to town centre and all walking distance to all historic sites. The owner and staff could not have been more welcoming when we turned up very stressed after our car breaking down on our journey, offering us a seat in the dining room and cups of tea with muffins! The building is beautiful and the interior designs excellent. Our standard room was compact but had everything you could possibly need and very clean. The breakfast is award winning and you can see why! Bucks fizz to start + smoothies + perfectly cooked breakfast (as well as all the usual cereals, fruit, cakes etc.). The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and very efficient. Great value for money - not your usual B & B! Loved Bath!

Room Tip: Standard room bathrooms a little small/compact but clean and modern.
