I was taken here as a suprise for Valentines and was overwhelmed at how perfect this hotel was. I will agree with some other comments that this is more of a guest house than a hotel but I dont see how that could be construed as a negative. We were given a comfortable room with beautiful furnishings (throughout the house!), and the reading teddy on the bed was so cute. The little touches really made it amazing.

The owner greeted us and showed us to our room, she was very attentive and helpful. It was lovely to be met with so much kindness.

The hotel was not too far from the city, the walk in was nice but for the weather and when we didnt want to walk, the owner kindly arranged a taxi for us.

The breakfast options were thorough and the conservatory was lush to sit in. We enjoyed breakfast a lot both mornings and the waiting staff were smart and polite.

We would very much like to come back again, and would highly recommend it.

We went for a long weekend with our two children aged 12 and 8. We stayed in a lovely room which fitted us all in, and the reception on arrival throught to the warmth of service was awesome. We had no real expectations as it was booked at short notice for a geataway.

Superb breakfasts, lovely setting and great advice re restaurants etc. All in all brilliant hightly recommended.

Highly recommended, thanks to Sue and her team.

Room Tip: The familly room is brilliant, kids loved it

Have had the most wonderful weekend visiting Bath again, the Tasburgh House Hotel made it all the more memorable, beautiful surroundings, every attention to detail second to none, we were made to feel so welcome by genuinely caring staff, lovely room spotlessly clean, even rose petals sprinkled on the bed and a red rose! Deep soft towels, and a super comfy bed , excellent top quality food, served by the friendliest of staff, hope to return soon to see the beautiful gardens in all their glory running down to the Kennet and Avon canal, a picturesque walk along the tow path from hotel leads you into Bath , thanks to Sue and her staff for a wonderful stay.

We strayed at the Tasburgh House for our wedding night. It was a present from my husband's parents and it was so, so lovely that we decided we are going to try to stay every anniversary in a different room and try them all! The stuff was so happy and excited for us they let us have breakfast over the time they serve it, which was very kind. It was such a wonderful place we can't wait to stay again :)

Stayed overnight at Tasburgh House 25 Jan 2014. My fiance booked it as a surprise for my 50th birthday. I had no dealings with the booking process, but Gary say's that Sue was so informative and couldn't have been more helpful.
We arrived at 12.00, the rooms were not supposed to be ready until 2pm so we expected to leave our belongings and go for a wander around Bath. However, Sue asked us to take a seat in the lounge whilst she dealt with some other guests. After a short wait, Sue came in and greeted us, and said our rooms were ready. She was such a lovely lady and so informative about the local area and gave us some good hints and tips. We didn't even have to carry our luggage up the stairs, that had already been taken up to our room. (Tennyson Room - Superior double). Sue kindly showed us into our room, and we were so pleased with the size, the decor and the amazing view from our room. It was perfect. A teddy was on the bed with a pair of slippers each and even a birthday card for myself, so thoughtful.
Not having been to Bath before we didn't have a clue, but Sue guided us and advised us where to pick up taxis, eateries etc. It was a nice walk into the town via road, probably 20 minutes. Had it been a nicer day we could have walked along the canal towpath and taking in some of the views. Once back, we had a knock on our door and were greeted by Sue with 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate my birthday. What a lovely gesture. After returning from our night out, we sat with some other guests in the study and had 1 of Sue's night caps, no short measures there!
Breakfast was continental, with a small fee if you chose to have a cooked breakfast. There was plenty of choice and it was lovely to be sat in the bright, airy, conservatory. All staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you. Its the little things that make it so different and special, ie fresh lemons on the patio tables, lit candles in the study, soft piped music, the list goes on........ I must say, that Sue is a perfect host. I am a travel agent and I will be certainly be recommending Tasbugh House with confidence and would love to return back in the warmer weather and appreciate the beautiful grounds that surround Tasburgh House. Thank You Sue and team from Pat and Gary .

Room Tip: Ask for a room, overlooking the beautiful gardens.

Frankly I and all my staff are speechless. I really don't know what to say or how to say a thank you that is big enough. If only we could keep every couple and every single guest as happy as you were. Our aim is certainly to achieve this. Our challenge now is to maintain and provide the same quality of service and ambiance that you enjoyed to your friends and colleagues who you recommend to us. Many many thanks again for taking the time to write your impressions of Tasburgh House.

From checking in to our late departure,Sue was the most the most friendliest host we have ever come across, Nothing was too much trouble. The room Sue gave us was the Austin room on the top floor, we couldn't of wished for anything more, although all the rooms were up to the same standard. The Champagne was lovely and chilled to perfection and chocolates too. The breakfast we had was served in the conservatory, what a fantastic view,so relaxing and the staff were first class. We will certainly be returning again, next time with our children.........
