Very friendly welcome at Tashburg House. Wie got all the informations to visit Bath.
The rooms and the garden are quite nice with stunning views. Charming walk in the garden and along the canal into the town. Continental breakfast contented all you desire.

Room Tip: Thema rooms with the gardenview are recommended.

If you wish to visit Bath and the region, do not hesitate to choose this lovely place.
Sue will make you feel at home and do her best to assist and advise you during your stay.
The victorian atmosphere is lovely. You may join Bath center in a few minutes walk.
Some bathrooms are a bit narrow but well equiped and perfectly clean.
Breakfasts are tasty, except the coffee...as almost everywhere in England, but it is just a detail ;-)

Room Tip: Ask a room with a large bathroom

When you get to meet a helpful host like Sue you get to realise just how important this is. She welcomed us to the hotel like valued guests and carefully made sure we had the right restaurant reservation for the evening and taxi to take us there.

Lots of helpful little touches like wellington boots to borrow - the walk down to the canal is very worthwhile and from there is a charming walk alongside the canal into the city centre.

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate a Birthday.

We arrived a little early for checkin after a 4 hour train journey that had gone a wee bit wrong, so slightly tired and frazzled.

Our room wasn't quite ready but were shown into the Drawing Room and given all the information we needed for our 1st stay in Bath, then given a tour of the beautiful house and gardens.

Our room was a triple on the top floor, which was decorated well, the bathroom was a little snug but clean with fluffy fresh white towels. the pillows and beds very soft and comfortable.

For breakfast we had the continental option, fresh coffee and croissant. The granola was delicious.

Staff so lovely nothing was too much trouble.

The only, and I mean only, problem was as the room was very warm we had to sleep with the windows open, our room faced the road so the road noise did keep us awake for a lot of the night. Not the fault of the hotel, but a point that has to be made.

We will return but will ask for a room at the back of house instead.

Arrived with high anxiety from lost bags, rental car and driving issues, confusion about reservations, etc. Staff at Tasburgh House was REALLY empathetic and capable in helping resolve our issues. The room was a bit cozy on the top floor, but excellent sleeping with comfortable pillows and bed. Location with view was serene. Walking into town through the property's beautiful gardens and along the canal was a relaxing and pleasant venture. The next day we walked along the canal and countryside in the other direction to a pub for dinner. The service at Tasburgh House is given with sincerity and is as good as I have ever experienced. The property's 7 acres on a kept hillside also offer many seating vignettes to enjoy. Highly recommend this property to anyone considering a vacation to Bath.

I stumbled upon Tasburgh House and thought it sounded like a wonderful place to send my mum and dad for my mum's 50th birthday. They were both over the moon with the hotel and with Susan, who deserves a special mention; she was brilliant throughout the organisation of the weekend away and helped me to add the little touches which made their stay even more special, the champagne reception, the spa package, and sending them to a surprise restaurant on my mum's actual birthday - she contacted me just to check if she could book them into a French restaurant that she highly recommend. She was genuinely so lovely and hospitable!

My parents seem to have had one of the best weekends away they've ever experienced, and they didn't stop texting our whole family telling us how beautiful the place is and what a great time they were having. It is well deserved of the 5 star rating it has!

Thank you very much!

An 80th birthday/family celebration combined with a 3 night stay at Tasburgh House from 5th July. Prior arranged gifts were present on arrival, rooms were fabulous and Sue and her team could not have done more or been more helpful if they had tried. Two adjacent patio rooms gave us a secluded patio and views across Bath to die for, and the 30mins walk along the towpath was ideal to walk off the varied and ample breakfast consumed every morning.
Working in the hospitality business ourselves, we tend to scrutinise and notice areas that need to be improved on all our travels...alas we found very few!...Sue and her team have maintained the charm and condition of the property, whilst also carrying out improvements to the garden and adjoining multi-layered patio areas...the results are beautiful.
A huge thank you once again Sue for making it a vacation that my parents will never ever forget...and we promise to return before my 80th...keep the hard work up and thank all the team. MG

Room Tip: Not certain on the names of the rooms we stayed in, but they were garden/patio walk-out rooms...both...
