Bath is a lovely town and this hotel sits right in the middle of it.
Friendly staff, clean spacious but dated rooms.
The breakfast was nicely cooked to order but the continental buffet section was limited with many items not refilled by the overworked staff.
Would go back again more for the location than the hotel
Nearby Raven Pub was a great place to spend an hour waiting for friends

Staff very friendly.
Room fine.
Bar area cosy.
Excellent position - lterally a two minute walk to the Baths.
5 minute walk to the station.
Paid £140 including breakfast for one person at the very last minute so can't really comment too much on value. Will book in advance next time.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a small group bus tour, and had a room located on the top floor. The room was a good size and everything was very clean. Noise wasn't a problem either despite the Morris Men doing their thing til after midnight right outside the hotels front door. Breakfast was by menu option rather than buffet style which was a nice touch.

I would stay at this hotel again

Over 3 HOURS wait for your room. What a joke. Best Western.................NEVER.
If I checked out 3 hours late, they'd expect to charge me another days rate.
If you don't have enough house keeping staff then do something about it and don't keep your guests waiting for over 3 hours. If we had arrived early in the morning, I could understand and accept the wait, but arriving at gone 1pm, then this is ridiculous and very much an unacceptable service. You also need to deal with the communication ability of your reception staff.
Pull your finger out and do something about it.

Picked up a deal from booking.com - slightly expensive, but given the location in the centre of town - superb for a short stroll. we had 3 rooms - all pretty standard - bathrooms were older and could use a bit of updating, especially with the premium pricing. staff were friendly and the full english breakfast was superb!

We stayed at this very centrally hotel on a Sunday night. It's in a great location right next to the Abbey and close to the Roman baths. The exterior is more impressive than the interior, which isn't much to write home about. The rooms are fairly small and pretty average and our bathroom suffered from the shower over the bath syndrome which made getting the temperature anything other than freezing or scalding difficult. The main benefit of staying here (apart from the location) is the great staff. Everyone was really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I left my glasses in the room and they posted them back to me the same day at no extra cost. Can't complain about customer service like that!
(Top tip - it's located next to the Cafe du Globe Morooccan resturant which is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere good to eat).

We stayed two nights at the Abbey Hotel, on the recommendation of our travel agent, before continuing to Cornwall. We could not have been more pleased! Our room was updated, clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The central location was very convenient for seeing all of the sites in Bath. We were especially happy with the service in the bar and restaurant. I would highly recommend the Abbey Hotel for anyone visiting Bath.
