Smashing hotel, convenient for all the sights, shops, bars, restaurants and station. The room was clean with a very effective shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideal place to stay for looking around Bath without the hassle of the car.

Two tips, when booking asking for a quiet room at the back of the hotel if you are concerned about street noise and the nearest car park in Manvers Street next to the police station is only a 100 mts away. It costs £12.50 for 24hr stay. This is not clear from the instructions which only suggest parking by the hour.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back very quiet. Use the stairs to avoid waiting for the lift and get some exercise!

We only went to Bath for one night and found this Hotel to be in a great spot for walking around central. Nice service, it's downfall for us was it was 5deg the night we got there and there heating system would not work, on approach the did give us a small electric heater though.

Girls weekend in bath and we booked two rooms, I asked to be next door to friends and we were, when I booked on line I could only get a double but called the hotel the week before and changed to a twin, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Whilst we were there the reception staff were brilliant, our room was lovely although a bit on the warm side! We were at the front right at the top and didnt notice too much noise.

Breakfast was excellent and there is a nice bar area.

Hotel is ideally located for canal, Abbey, shops, baths/spa. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are worried about noise, ask for a room away from the front. If you can, dont go by car, parking is nearby but expensive ..

This old hotel was great. The staff were friendly and if right beside the abbey and the baths. The only downside was that it would be faster to carry your bags up the stairs than get the elevator... Actually.. That is exactly what I did, I made 3 trips up the stairs because of the slow, tiny elevator. On the up side, huge rooms and bathrooms.

This hotel is superbly situated in the middle of the lovely city of Bath. We had a fairly small twin bedded room which was clean and well furnished. The bathroom was also very clean and although on the small side served its functions well. We looked out onto other buidlings which wasn't great but for a base to explore the room was fine. We took the breakfast option and I thoroughly recommend this. They were very filling and set us up for the day. The hot food was good and served at the table.

The position of the hotel is brilliant - the station is only a five minute walk away and the tour buses stop outside. The brilliant Comedy Walk also starts outside. All in all a good reasonably priced hotel.
