We stayed here for 3 nights in April for my husbands birthday.

Great location, good nights sleep, tasty breakfast. Just one criticism - every single day we had the get the room key re-set.

At first they told us it was my husbands credit/debit card wiping the memory, so he kept it separate in his coat pocket, yet it still wouldn't work the following day. We were then told "Oh this happens all the time I don't know why they just don't let you have it for more than a day". We should have been told this at the start of the break, it would save us going up to our room to have to travel all the way back to reception to go back again. This should also not be an issue in a city hotel in my view. I have had to mark the service & rooms down because of this.

Other than the inconvenience of having a working key our stay was pleasant, beds comfortable and overall an good stay.

We were really looking forward to our stay in the Bath but were sadly disappointed. The room was not available at 3pm and we had to wait. Then we were allocated our deluxe family double room which was extremely squashed. The tea tray was filthy. The spoons were grimy, the cups still had tea stains on them and the paper covers were also dirty.
The bathroom was dated. My daughter had a shower and the shower screen leaked and soaked her night clothes. The worktop around the sink was smeared and dirty.
We decided not to avail of the wifi @ £15 which we thought was exorbitant. We purchased a movie and it did not work. Eventually someone from reception came to wiggle the wires at the back of the TV and suggested we repeated this to keep the TV working.
The beds were uncomfortable and breakfast was also very disappointing. I ordered a latte which was just milk and my husband's tea didn't arrive. Gerald in the restaurant was extremely helpful. The staff at reception were cool and detached and we had no opportunity to voice our concerns. All in all, a thoroughly miserable experience!

Stayed here for a night and everything was perfect! The room was redeemed with points - technically you can say that it's free (otherwise we'll have to fork out I'm not sure how much!)

Rooms were clean, neat and small. It's not difficult to find, attractions are walkable from the hotel. Bathroom was really clean, with all the facilities and amenities that you need. Staffs were helpful in regards to our questions. Left luggage service is available if you need.

Technically it was all good and nothing uncommon happened. Great service, clean rooms with full amenities, nothing more to ask for.

We stayed one night at the Hilton and enjoyed ourselves. We had a great room that overlooked the Avon w/the bridges and archways - so beautiful. The hotel is right in town and you can walk to everything. Breakfast was great and Joan really made us feel welcome! The internet only worked in common areas and we had to pay for parking in the garage below the hotel. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel! Also, there was the most amazing scent they had spraying when you walked in. Nice treat!

Stayed here for three nights very recently and was disappointed. Check in - there were not enough staff and were initially placed in room 254 and can only advise don't accept the room it's next to the service lift which runs till 10pm and also overlooks all the air conditioning master units that also make a good deal of noise. Asked to be moved which was accommodated but I can't say that the room was anything but tired and not worth the £170 a night. Moved all our stuff to realise I had left items in the previous room, never got a call back from reception or housekeeping and I'm still waiting. Was told by reception were are busy..... Breakfast had to wait a long time for someone to acknowledge we were there. Customer service wasn't great. Stayed at the Wembley Hilton two weeks prior to this visit and felt really spoilt, cannot say I felt anything other than being on a disorganised conveyor belt here. Perhaps Bath staff could take some tips from Wembley. Don't think we will stay again even as Hilton Honours members.

Arrival: the first thing one gets to notice is the absence of any kind of service when you need it. I looked out for a concierge during our stay but couldn't find one. After having dragged our suitcases into the hotel we were asked if we'd need help. Great, better late than never.
The second thing one notices is the smell, a stench like camphor balls in the entrance hall.

Room: as a family of 3 we stayed in a Plaza Room. Very promising name but tiny and functional at the best of times and no charm, no space to its name. The bathroom could only fit one person at a time.

Breakfast: the package we booked included breakfast which was cramped, full, loud with a very limited buffet, no quality food worth mentioning and served by stressed and grumpy staff.

The 4 stars this hotel might have can only come from the location. In general my Hilton experience is getting worse and worse in the UK. I wonder who is managing the brand in that country? This Hilton hotel definitely needs a brand review as it seems stuck in the 70's.

Room Tip: Don't trust the names of the suites. The rooms are all tiny.

Stayed at this hotel in May. It is located centrally and quite close to the Spa and Roman Bath Museum. The room was very small and beds very uncomfortable. Poor appliances in the room. Not sure if all the rooms are same but the management should carry out regular audit on the general comfort, cleanliness and the safety. Was not too impressed of the room and service considering the rates of the rooms.
