I stayed here on Saturday night with my husband. We could only be away from home for one night and most hotels in Bath will not let you book a one night stay at the weekend! A friend of ours recommended The Windsor as he had heard it was good. How right he was! It is centrally located, only a couple of minutes walk to the Baths, Abbey and the shops, and in very beautiful street of traditional Bath town houses. Due to it being an old building expect stairs! We stayed on the third floor and it is a long way up with your suitcase. The helpful staff offered to carry our bag upstairs but we managed. The room was cosy with everything that you would expect. There were plenty of plug sockets, free wi fi, tea and coffee etc.
Breakfast is a choice between an extensive continental menu which is included in the cost of your stay or you can pay extra for a cooked breakfast. We chose the continental option and it easily set us up for the day.
Overall the hotel is a beautiful place to stay, close to the city with good customer service. What more could you ask!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a lower floor if you struggle with stairs!

After living in Bath 5 years ago we recently came back for a visit and chose the Windsor for its central location - we had the Windsor room with the 4 poster bed, I felt like a princess!
The room was above my expectation and the staff are very friendly.
The rooms are cosy and have modern bathrooms. There are lots of stairs but you get that anywhere in Bath due to the beautiful city and the heritage buildings - the stairs aren't that bad and they help you with your luggage. Breakfast in served downstairs with lovely views of the street or they can bring it to you in your room. You will not need your car you can walk everywhere, Royal Crescent, Circus and shopping! The shopping is amazing due to the new Southgate area which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I have friends going next month to Bath and will recommend The Windsor to them,

Room Tip: As for the 4 poster bed!

We stayed two nights for a short break away. The Windsor is in a cracking location close to city with a great recently renovated pub just down the road! Parking is street parking only and you can struggle to get a spot! A lot of stairs so if you are restricted mobility bear this In mind. Room was good with all you would want in it. The only negative in our opinion was the breakfast. The requirement to pay extra for a cooked breakfast went against the grain when paying a considerable nightly fee. The continental breakfast was not hitting the spot for us! To sum up ideal location which you pay the premium for if parking is not a concern and you are not into cooked breakfast then you won't find better, but if you like to start the day with a cooked and want your car nearby I would think twice.

My wife Carol and I stayed at the Windsor guest house in Bath for our 30th Wedding anniversary week end in Bath. The staff were extremely attentive and the four poster room we had was lovely and comfortable. I ordered a bottle of champaign as a surprise and it was delivered to our room on arrival and was very enjoyable. On the saturday which was actually the day of our anniversary, we returned back to our room from site seeing to find anniversary balloons and rose petals spread our on the bed, this was a lovely touch.

We found the location of the Windsor to be ideal for site seeing Bath as it is just over the Pultney Bridge and in easy walking distance from all the attractions.

The dinning room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with very attentive service.

Stayed one night in this lovely guest house on the top floor. The hotel is on Great Pulteney Street which is one of the classic Georgian Streets in Bath, complete with fountain. The room was lovely and had beautiful views across Bath. The free continental breakfast was extensive and well presented.

My only fault was I could hear snoring from the room below.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted you liked your room and our fabulous location on Great Pulteney St, with the beautiful architecture and fountain. It's also good to hear you enjoyed breakfast, we use locally sourced produce and make as much as possible on the premises. I can't believe you could actually hear snoring from a neighbouring room!! We should contact the Guiness Book Of Records and let them know they may have a contender for Worlds Loudest Snorer!? On a serious note though, II am sorry if you were disturbed. Do come back and see us sometime.

We had a lovely stay at The WIndsor. We had the basement room, which accomodated all 5 of us. The staff very helpful, the breakfast was great. Its in a lovely area of Bath with lots to do nearby with the Town Centre just a walk away. The only one thing i have to say is that on the basement rooms, there should be more than one bin provided. I was having to make a cup of coffee and take the rubbish to the bathroom bin. So one more bin in the living area would be great. Other than that no complaints.

Thank you for your review. I am in full agreement. One bin is not enough for such a large room. I will ask my housekeeper to pop another one in there today. Thanks for the feedback. Hope to see you again sometime.
