Owner description: Designed by John Wood II (1767-75), the Royal Crescent is comprised of thirty houses, shaped like a half-Colosseum, which uses a gigantic series of Ionic columns on high bases.

No 1 has openend and you can get a view inside the house as they try to restore it to it's former glory. There are 5 rooms open at present and people there to explain them. They have taken over another part of the house, 1a and this will open next year in June. Very good visit.

The Royal Crescent is a must see whilst in Bath. The whole of Bath is gorgeous and this is just another example of the beautiful architecture of the city.

We went back to see the crescent several times! Fanatsic holiday snaps to be had here. Lovely view over to Victoria Park from here. And we enjoyed an ice cream here!

A must see. The Georgian architecture is stunning. Take a picnic on a sunny day and enjoy the park in front of it.
