We thought it was a little expensive entry on arrival, but having been round it was worth every penny. Lots of historical information via a very informative audio tour. A great experience.

“Take a Roman Bath!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

Located in the picturesque town of Bath, this small attraction is worth the visit! I would recommend about little over an hour to explore. You can stand exactly next to the main bath and tour other sealed off bath rooms. Don’t even think about trying the water straight from the main bath, they say a woman swam in it and died later of legionnaires disease. At the end, you can try their fresh, clean water straight from the spring. They have plenty of artifacts to look at. They have great bathrooms and at the gift shop you can buy their “bath” water. Since the Roman Bath house does not take long, explore the rest of the area like the Abbey and the cute shops.

“Tour round the Roman baths”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

We joined the queue to go round the Roman baths, the queue went pretty quickly and was well organised in the ticket area.
We had the audio tour which we think is always worth doing in these types of places where theres so much information on offer.
It was reasonably priced to get in and took about 2.5hours to go round. We missed one or two of the audio bits but its was well worth it. Comfy shoes needed lots of walking...
A large portion of it is outside so wrap up warm if going in colder months.

“A real sense of history..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

It's been many years since we visited the Roman Baths in Bath, but as were were staying overnight in the area, we took a half a day out to visit this attraction. We took some advice and rather than drive into Bath, we drove to the racecourse and took the double deck "park and ride" bus into the city centre - what a great move that was !. There is adequate parking at the terminal at the racecourse for your car and there is a bus into the city every 12 minutes. If the weather is inclement - no problem as there is a large clean bus shelter with seating available. Well done to Bath for this service.

Into the city centre and the Roman Baths are just a minutes walk from the bus stop. Quite busy inside the Baths as we did go in the school half term, but no problem we could see and view everything that we wanted. Not all disappointed, the lay out and exhibits were even better than I remembered them. Inside the museum the exhibits are laid out superbly and a sort of one-way system assists in keeping the visitors flowing. Also the museum interior is well kept and immaculate.

Into the Pump House restaurant for a lunch. Very nice atmosphere and excellent service from attentive staff, but if I had to identity one area for criticism it would be the prices of the food in the restaurant. The food was top quality, but as I say overpriced in my opinion, but I wouldn't let that put you off.

Overall, a great day at the Roman Baths museum and hats off to the park & ride bus service, my advice - go to the Baths - well worth the time and effort..............
