The Roman Baths museum is a must see in Bath UK. The Romans must have been the original hydrographic engineers. The way the baths were constructed out of the hot springs is amazing. The tour guide is knowledgeable and funny talking about the life style and use of the baths as a place to get clean, but also as a place of social interaction and conversation for the Romans. Well worth the money to see the museum.

A wonderful, informative and interesting museum. The audio tour was excellent - don't just listen to the main numbers, each exhibit has multiple recordings!
The temple was my favourite.
The shop was filled with many tempting souvenirs and was interesting all by itself. Definitely a highlight of Bath.

A really good exhibit showing the history, religion and lifestyle of well off Romans. There is a nice mix of audio tour and ancient baths to explore. Plus the promise if an expanded exhibition in the future. Well worth a visit.

In the summer the baths are open in till about 10 o clock the perfect time to go is somewhere in the early evening when you can explore the baths in the daylight but then as time wears on and darkness sets in the baths take on a magical atmosphere lit by torch light and other soft lighting. Well worth it and its the same price! You can definitely spend a good couple of hours if not more wandering around, lots to see and the audio guide is well worth it as it explains lots of interesting things like how today's city level is actually alot higher than back in Roman times.

Visited here as part of a weekend trip before Christmas. The Christmas market was on but the baths did not seem excessively busy, even though Bath itself was. There was an audio tour used like an mp3 player and our 7 year old could choose different commentary by entering different numbers, which she enjoyed. There is lots yo see here, lots of surprising things like the gully of flowing water under glass which you walk over seeing the steam billowing round it. The baths themselves, which you don't get to for a while (building the suspense!) Are very atmospheric and really quite beautiful. My daughters highlights were drinking the metallic tasting water and seeing the projected moving images of 'romans' losing their towels on the walls of one of the bath houses! Not a cheap attraction, but we did think it was worth the money and definitely something you should do if in Bath.
