It’s an interesting piece of history of how Romans controlled old England. They built this luxury to please themselves and teach (or spread) their culture (or “civilization”) to locals (“barbarians”). To me, a narrow-minded, would have felt shame to show off this embarrassing past. However, I truly admire British who preserve it (so well) and proudly say it is just a history, it has been our past.

A must when visiting Bath! The tour took us about two hours.
An audio tour is provided which is very informative and which is easily controlled individually so it is possible to listen to as much or as little as possible. personally, I found it very interesting and not in the least boring.

Visit their website .... It is exactly like that . The authorities have spent money on making your experience work. The walk around the attraction are well thought out . It is amazing how so much has survived and in the centre of a busy city. Each visitor is supplied with their own easy to use electronic guide . Photography is allowed. This is a must visit, don't miss it. It will give you an understanding of what Bath was and is .

This is an extensive Roman bath site, which you can walk through with an excellent audio guide. There are models of the baths as they once looked, artefacts from the time, film recreations of the people at the baths, and of course the baths themselves. It is an amazing insight into Roman life in England, 2000 years ago. It is very well setup and easy to walk through.
