We went on a tour here on the way to Stonehenge. Bath is a really cool place to see. It really takes you back a thousand years to see a place like this. I usually don't think about the Roman history of England until you see a place like this. You can't take a bath here, but they do let you drink the water. It is horrible but do it anyway. The city of Bath is really cool too.

“Wow thats a nice place!”

Bath is a great place to see and full of roman influence! The roman baths and the abbey are next door to each other, so you can visit both. The Abbey is free of charge, but you can make a small donation if you would like to, for maintenance. Probably best time to visit the Roman baths will be in the summer, as most of the museum is outside and it can be quite cold. Well....I leave it to you to decide!

Absolutely amazing and well worth visiting. We have seen Roman remains in many different countries, including Italy, but this is the most interesting, best preserved and presented.

Quite a steep entry price, but very well worth it for this unique insight into how the romans lived in Britain. Great for adults and children alike.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

Amongst the best preserved and definitely the most accessible Roman remains in the UK. From an historical and educational perspective, this is about the best we have to offer in the UK. Well worth the visit for any visitor from outside of the UK for any reason but for anyone in the UK, this is a triumph of conservation and presentation at its best. Set aside at least half a day and be prepared to do more if you have the time. Great educational resources for the kids. 10/10.
