We met at 1030am at the Roman Baths and were taken on a fantastic walking tour of Bath with our guide, Jean.
The tour is free and the guides tell you before hand that there is no payment and tipping is not allowed which by the end of our tour was a shame as we would of happily tipped Jean £10 for the informative, interesting visit to this city.
I lost count of the fascinating facts I learnt about Bath and would recommend the free guided tours of Bath to anyone.
Much better and cheaper (free) than the tour bus.
It's a must !

The tour was very entertaining and educational. Dan was a fantastic guide and we couldn't believe we got this level of expertise for free. Going on the morning tour really sets up the rest of the day.

These tours are free and led by volunteers who are not allowed to accept tips. About 40 of us were split into 4 groups which made the whole thing much more personal. Our guide was excellent - talking for 2 hours with no notes on the history and architecture of Bath - as she took us round all the main sites.
Very informative and a nice bit of exercise too!
