“Early morning at the Abbey”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Liked the east window ; disliked the modern art exhibition!
Gothis fan vaulting was amazing, although it had all been done at a later date.

“such a beautiful place”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Awesome, large, peaceful, spectacular - just about sums up the abbey. A lovely old building and well worth a visit when in Bath. The plaques on the walls and on the floors make fascinating reading and give an insight to the people who lived in Bath and the surrounding area over the past centuries.
There isn't an entry fee as such, but a donation is suggested (£2.50) per person at the time of writing. donations are suggested for various activities throughout the church, but they are voluntary. It is refreshing to be able to take photographs within the building.

“Stunning building, a place to be still and pray.”

A chance to study the Bath Triptych around the walls and modern sculptures about the building on exhibition. Beautiful soaring architecture and time to linger. Liked it all - music too and a welcoming Rector. Thank you Bath Abbey community.

“A wonderful, peacfilled spot”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

I found it interesting and relaxing. There lots of history, and a great view from the Spire. It was a nice place to collect oneself on a busy and cold day!

“Nice, not over done”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

This is a really nice abbey and they allow you to use your camera which is a huge bonus!
It is also not very touristy (which is strange considering how many tourists pour through).
