“Try the Abbey Rooftop tour”

Abbey is beautiful but try the rooftop tour. Well worth £6.00 but make sure you can climb steps! There are 210 of them and they are quite steep and narrow. View fron top of roof amazing.

A place of Christian worship and an amazing church. A great example of Victorian Gothic architecture with absolutely fantastic glass window art.

The best thing is there is no entrance fee but you can donate £2.50 per adult I suppose for the maintenance and ministry of the Abbey.

There was an art exhibition as well and on display was Jacob's Ladder by David Mach.

Overall a wonderful experience for a religious individual like me.

“Highly recommended!”

The Bath Abbey is a beautiful church inside and out, and it was nice to be somewhere a little quieter and less trafficked than the Roman Baths. We bought tickets for the Tower Tour and were lucky to be the only ones. We got a great private tour of the bell rooms, clock works, and up the windy stone stairs to the top of the abbey with a 360 degree view of the town. It was well worth the (low) ticket price.

Have seen from other reviews that there was a tour but were not offered this. However we appreciated the art work on display particularly the Damian Hurst sculpture. Stained glass windows well worth a view.

Bath Abbey is such an amazing building and I spent a long time here, reading the history of the place, how the church has changed over the centuries and reading the dedications to people who were interred there. The ceiling is truly breathtaking!
