With the exception of the beautiful windows, I found the Abbey to be somewhat cold and uninviting. I'm more interested in the architectural features than the religious history, so there is a bit to appreciate there - it's a significant building and an imposing presence in the city. Would like to have seen the gifted embroided panels properly exhibited rather than lined up down one section of wall..seemed very ad-hoc and 'sqeezed' into the side making it difficult to appreciate the overall artwork. Think I'd admire the building externally on my next visit.

The Bath Abbey is Huge and right in the centre of town, making it hard to miss and also a must see when visiting the unique small town.We went for a walk inside and took some pics, it was amazing and also the history of this little town I had no idea of.Free entry is also great.

The Abbey in Bathmis stunning, it's well worthwhile a visit. You can go in and look around the abbey in the day, they ask that you pay a donation. On Sunday we go to the Evensong service in the afternoon. It's a lovely service which is very family friendly and the choir are just amazing. It's well worth going to on a Sunday afternoon. You can also do tours of the abbey and the views are truly stunning of Bath.

While the Abbey is of course a must-see, make sure you ALSO book the Abbey Tower Tour.

Our guide, whose name I must confess I forgot (ex South Africian girl) was excellent and made the tour excellent.

Must see !!
