“Breathtaking”
Reviewed September 1, 2011

Of all the attractions in Bath, it was the Abbey that really blew me away. The exterior is beautiful with wonderful detail. The interior is stunning in all respects. If you are interested in architecture, especially ancient churches, don't miss this one. The incredible filigree of stonework in the ceiling, the beautiful stained glass windows, he arches, the proportions and the details are astonishing. It is a place you have to spend some time in just to absorb it all.

“Excellent value and scenery!”
Reviewed August 20, 2011

This was our favourite attraction in Bath. The Abbey itself is magnificent - but the tour and climb to the top is fantastic. If you are scared of heights, closed places or wobby on your feet this probably isn't for you. The view from the top is incredible!! Our guide was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable, which made it even better. Loved it, loved it, Loved It!!

“Make sure you go up the tower!”
Reviewed August 16, 2011

The abbey itself is very pleasant within but the main attraction has to be climbing the tower. Don't go if you;re unsteady on your feet or don't like heights - there's some fairly steep and uneven steps along the way.
Unlike other towers we have visited, there's things to do along the way. You stop off at least three times along the way to look at the bells, the clock and other bits and pieces to do with the upper workings of the abbey.
The views are excellent and certainly the guided tour we had up there was very relaxed.
Well worth a visit!

“Take the roof tour!”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

The Abbey is free to get in although they do ask for a £2.50 donation. The main part of the Abbey is spectacular but its well worth paying the extra £6 for the roof top tour. The tour is very informative and you get fantastic views of Bath. You do need a reasonable level of fitness and mobility as there are 200 odd steps and its a steep climb to the roof.

“Guided tour recommended”
Reviewed July 11, 2011

We had a tour of the abbey tower with Lucy and George our very able young tour guides. Lucy was excellent, very clear spoken and proffessional. You have to climb up many steps to the top of the abbey with stops on the way to see the bells, clock face from the back, bell ringing rooms. All good fun with great views and interesting commentary from the guides.
