This is very interesting and I enjoyed our visit. At the beginning they have a short video that tells you a little history before you go into the main house. Unfortunately you cannot hear the video easily because it is right next to the ticket queue. I was glad to have paid student price and not for an adult ticket.

Good introduction, nice staff who know what they are talking about. And a very lovely, carefully restored house, with furniture and paintings of the period. And, unusually for Bath, not too crowded either.

The house had just re-opened after some work in 1a. This was a very good tour of a house of the period. Staff were knowledgeable and often humorous with there stories. I loved the way the tour started in the front door, the posh rooms, and main staircase and then retreated down the servants stairs into the cellar where the tour was no less fantastic - great trip, allow 3 hours
