Description: Roughly translated from Sardinian, Aio' means come and join us, it's an appropriate title for one of Bath's most welcoming restaurants. Currently the only restaurant in the South West specialising in Sardinian cuisine, Aio', on George Street is close to the Assembly Rooms and The Circus, is a unique dining proposition, providing Bath's gastronomes with an opportunity to step outside of the Italian comfort zone. A modern interior inspired by the warm tones and natural materials of a traditional trattoria leads through to a suntrap courtyard just made for enjoying Aio's summery cuisine.

We celebrated my sister's birthday for lunch at Aio - the staff were welcoming, friendly and the service fantastic. As for the food - sublime! I love this place because apart from all the above, it's not part of a chain and has a real family run business atmosphere - could have been in Sicilly except it was about -5 outside that day! We will be back, thanks everyone!

Started with the deliciously crunchy flat bread and some prosecco, followed by the best cooked squid starter, tender and not chewy. Shared a starter of the offal sqewer of which the heart was the most tasty. Fishy main course delicious too and great service and price! A real gem!

Really tasty food and excellent waitress made it a great experience. No fancy interior but comfortable and good value for money.

A lovely little restaurant with a nice atmosphere, attentive staff and good food!! What more do you want? And they didn't keep hanging around asking if everything was okay, as some staff tend to do these days. Spectacularly clean loos too - which is important as well. Would definitely go again .

Went on a Saturday evening as a group of 5 people. Food was so salty that we were unable to taste anything else in the dishes. Service was very poor. Staff cleared the table before we had finished eating almost as if they were trying to rush us, however we then had to wait a very long time between our starter and main course. Service was added on to the bill automatically which seemed a bit cheeky in view of the above. Other diners in the restaurant seemed to be having a good time so maybe we were just unfortunate?!
