A late review, as we visited “Same Same” on a very wet Friday evening in January. Whilst it was lashing a gale outside, the atmosphere inside the packed single room of the restaurant was warm and inviting. Being greedy we shared three tapas starters between the two of us before moving onto a mains each. All washed down with a respectable house red. The service was very good and the slight mix-up with the starters was handled well and gave us a handy introduction to the people on the next table. Highlights for me were the Sole Goujons, the Scotch Duck egg in Black Pudding and of course the Burger. A home-made bap would have made the latter brilliant, but that’s just being picky. The Merguez sausage was also good but would have preferred more of… The only weakness in what was a great experience was that my wife’s pork collar was somewhat over cooked and bland. Overall good value for money, great service - would recommend and will certainly visit again.
