Description: Brassiere Brunel – casual dining in a French style brasserie setting with a menu to match,Our newly refurbished restaurant is located in the lovely Grade II listed building designed by the famous architect Isambard Kingdom Brunel and we have named our new dining venue in tribute to this famous designer. The decor and furnishings have been modelled on a traditional Parisian brasserie and the menu features a number of French specialities together with grills, including steaks, for which we are renowned. Wherever possible our food is sourced locally including our steaks from the highly respected Church Farms and the majority of dishes are freshly produced by a first class team of cooks. The menu represents excellent value for money and in addition to the extensive range of very competitively priced a la carte dishes we also offer two fixed price menu options namely, £9.95 for 2 courses and £12.95 for 3 courses.

Great food at a good price, situated near the bus and railway stations, very convenient for a fab breakfast before a day exploring.

The meal was well cooked but we thought the menu rather dull.

Had our main evening meal here as part of our stay at the hotel and our breakfast the next morning. The staff were fantastic and very friendly - especially towards our toddler.

The food was excellent and very tasty. We had the Mixed Grill and Calves Liver. Both were prepared to perfection using local ingredients. Very tasty.

All of our three courses were excellent. To be honest, we wouldn't have chosen this restaurant in Bath if it wasn't for the included hotel deal. But if it's part of a stay at the hotel, then it does represent great value for money.

We were going fo a family lunch, and I wqas pleasantly surprised at the choices on offer. I started with a 3 cheese pie, which was actually quite flat, and all in all was the only low point for me. For a main course I had the liver which was cooked exceptionally well. One other small failure springs to mind now, I did order a side salad which never materialised. On a plus point, the cheeseboard for dessert was excellent, and with a glass of port to wash it down, finished the meal..One other point on the cheeseboard, it was so big my wife actually asked for a doggy bag for what she could not eat, which was supplied graciously and without comment.
