“Cosy for a coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

Popped in on a cold March afternoon. Lovely location by the bridge, and friendly quick service. Didn't try the food, only drinks but good value for what we had. Even after closing time we were able to sit and chat.

“Nice location, slow service, average food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014 via mobile

The place is really great located - just ideal place for having a coffee before pick up the car from a car park. You entering old historical bridge building and have a view to the river and small waterfalls. Then You have to wait about 20 min for average coffee and average cake. Then another 15 min for a bill. No one will come to take the money and give You the rest so You have to put exact amount of money and just leave the place - You should not give any tip for such service. Although the girl was very nice but without any help from the guys being busy with "more important" things.

“Quirky little eaterie with great character”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2014

This is a tiny little place next to the river. So small we were asked to wait outside - good job it was sunny!
Tables were a little cramped but the service is speedy. Most of the food involved bread and we opted for the fish finger sandwich. The fresh Cornish Haddock large fish finger, tartare sauce, wedges and salad were fresh and tasty but the ciabatta bread monopolised the plate and I left it as did my husband and the two people sitting opposite us. The size of the bread could definitely be reduced and it would not distract from the meal.
Drinks were expensive but the apple juice was very nice and husband enjoyed his Sticky toffee pudding.
We will definitely be back.

“Well worth popping in for a cuppa or a meal.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014

Sitting under Pulteney Bridge with a stunning view over the weir and riverside with a semi circular window to keep the wind off you can easily pass a very happy half hour enjoying a cup of tea or a very tasty light meal. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly. Escape from the hurly-burly of shopping or visiting the Roman Baths etc. in this small eating house.

“Cosy little gem!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

Love eating here, as its always well presented food with a cosy atmosphere. Great hot chocolates too. Perfect for meetings with friends, and most of the food is sourced locally. Great in the summer evenings to sit outside as has a good view over the weir and is a real suntrap late afternoon. Friendly and accommodating staff. Will carry on visiting!
