“Good value, centrally located, charactful cottage with outside space”
Reviewed July 26, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, we all want to come again. Very central to walk into town and to the canal. Property has everything you need. It has a rear small secluded patio and seating outside the front which is surrounded by shrubs & tall trees. Located adjacent to a lovely peacefully park. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

“Lovely cottage full of character and very close to town”
Reviewed January 7, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We are a family of 4 with teenagers and we stayed at Park Keepers during the Christmas week 2015. We loved it and felt very much at home there and very much enjoyed spending Christmas at the cottage. The owners have gone to great lengths to provide all you could possibly need in the kitchen and throughout the house with a few extra Christmas touches that were very much appreciated by us all.. We were warm and comfortable and loved the character of the house. There is a great welcome folder full of information about Bath. We were met by the Housekeeper at the cottage on time. She was lovely and she showed us everything we needed to know about the house. We found it a little challenging to find but once we did, the parking was convenient. There are steps to navigate with luggage but once settled in to the cottage they are not too much trouble. We walked into Bath each day rather than using the car but were very happy to have a parking space.

“Homely cottage 5 mins walk from central Bath”

Plenty of space and a relaxing feel. Front bedroom has a little noise from the road but not enough to disturb you.

Well presented and maintained, would be nice in summer to sit outside for breakfast or to watch the sun set over Bath.

Some steep steps up to the cottage with parking over the road. Not an issue unless wheelchair bound.

“Clean and Comfortable Stay in a Very Good Location in Bath”
Reviewed September 18, 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We stayed in the house for one week during September. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need. Including extra toilet roll, tea/coffee, condiments, towels and dishwasher tablets. The house is built from the 1850s and was lovely with original features inside. The house itself is situated in a small park and is about a ten minute walk from the centre of Bath.

Ground floor – The ground floor has a sitting room and kitchen as well as 2 external areas for dining/drinking. The sitting room had a 2 seater settee and 1 chair. It was equipped with tv, dvd player, digital tv, radio with docking station. There was a selection of videos and books available as well as board games for children. WiFi is available, but we could not get it to work. That wasn’t much of a big deal though. The kitchen was quite large with a 4 seater dining table. It was very well equipped, we cooked indoors a few nights and we had everything we needed utensils wise. There is a small hallway with room for hanging coats.

Upper Floor – There is a large master bedroom and twin room. The beds were so comfortable. I didn’t want to get up on a morning I was so snug. The sash windows overlooked the outskirts of Bath, so lovely greenery. We could hear a little noise from the ringroad, but nothing that would disturb you from sleeping. The bathroom was nice and clean with a bath and shower, toilet and sink.

The house itself is wonderful. My only negative is that the parking situation was a little awkward for arrival and departure. This is because the house has no access to a road at all, so the reserved parking is down a small decline, approx 20 steps and over a road. This was ok, but carrying all the things we had was a bit of a nightmare. I would carry a wee bit lighter next time, as it was quite steep when carrying suitcases etc. This is my only negative point though.

The housekeeper was lovely and asked what time we would be arriving. We met her at 4pm in the car park to pick up our parking permit and she showed us to the house and explained loads of things about the house – really nice lady. She also bought milk for us, which I thought was nice. The house is near lots of bars and cafes. We particularly liked “The Tramshed” for a more modern feel for food and drinks and “The Star Inn” for the more traditional real ale pub. These were both within 5 mins walk.

Also a £100.00 damage deposit is required, but has been refunded with no problems.
