Description: JAMIE'S ITALIAN BATH A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Set in a gorgeous Georgian conversion in Milsom Place, right in the heart of the town, Jamie's Italian Bath is a great spot for midweek lunches, weekend dinners and everything in between. It also has a chic rooftop terrace boasting some amazing views - the ideal spot for al fresco dining on a sunny day. If you're looking to host a private event or a meeting you can also exclusively hire the Georgian room for up to 28 people, or the bright and spacious upstairs area accommodates up to 70 guests.

“Celebration lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

Wanted to try Jamie's and was pleased I did but probably won't be back. Good ambience, food good but not outstanding, service average to slow - glass of chilled white house wine (£7.05 for a 250ml glass!!) was warm by the time our main course arrived. Waited 15 minutes for table - OK - but still hadn't managed to get a drink from the bar by the time our table was ready (this was 2pm, not peak time). Meat plank starter was fine but not much of it (4 wafer thin slices of meat and 3 olives plus some bits), and no bread included (an extra at £3.85). Plenty of Italian restaurants put bread/olive oil/vinegar etc. on the table straight away at no extra charge, come on Jamie's - it's not that hard! Conclusion: good experience, average food, poor value, slow.

“Excellent food in a "happening" setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

First visit here and we had the crab and avocado bruschetta, wild rabbit casarecce and prawn linguine, plus a dish of breads served with an incredibly fresh and tasty olive and sundried tomato tapenade. All were excellent and presentation of all dishes we saw being served was gorgeous. No room left for dessert, unfortunately. Restaurant is quite noisy due to preponderance of hard surfaces so don't go for a romantic dinner. Also quite a few groups in attendance. Prices on the high side, but definitely worth a visit.

“Good mid-range choice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

We often go here and, though sometimes a bit busy and chaotic feeling, we usually have a good meal. The young staff are friendly and the kitchen is very good if, like us, you have a family member with an allergy. Good range of vegetarian choices too. Interesting architecture/décor upstairs.
