Description: JAMIE'S ITALIAN BATH A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Set in a gorgeous Georgian conversion in Milsom Place, right in the heart of the town, Jamie's Italian Bath is a great spot for midweek lunches, weekend dinners and everything in between. It also has a chic rooftop terrace boasting some amazing views - the ideal spot for al fresco dining on a sunny day. If you're looking to host a private event or a meeting you can also exclusively hire the Georgian room for up to 28 people, or the bright and spacious upstairs area accommodates up to 70 guests.

My husband and I visited Jamie's on Saturday night, the place was rammed and there were quite a few hen parties. Despite that our waiter looked after us really well and made sure we weren't forgotten. The food was fabulous (the lemon meringue was really special) and the whole night was great. It has even made my husband change his opinion of Jamie Oliver!!

A group of nine of us on a hen do ate here on Saturday lunchtime. We hadn't booked. The young woman at the reception desk was very friendly and asked us to wait in the bar area while they sorted a large table. We only waited a few minutes and then we were seated. The layout of the restaurant is a bit unusual and it does feel like you are being led through the kitchen. Waitress was friendly. We ordered breads and olives to share. Absolutely gorgeous breads and olive dip (not sure what it was), huge Queen green olives served on ice. I had the tuna pasta and it was gorgeous, huge bowl of it. Some of the others had the sharing platter with a selection of meats and breads for starter and about four mini main meals, pasta etc which was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Somebody ordered a side dish of polenta chips. We all tried one and agreed they were very odd! We were there quite a while chatting and didn't feel rushed by staff. As we left staff were very pleasant and said goodbye. Wouldn't hesitate to go back if I was in Bath again.

Jamie is not in the gotha of modern cooking, but is a marketing genius and he knows what people want to eat. And he delivers. Service is efficient and friendly, food is good, interiors are nice and prices are sweet. I do not really ask for more, for a family lunch!

Don't buy the arancini from the deli they are the worst we have ever had, and we have had a few!!! Rice unseasoned and tasteless and no saffron to speak of, a measly portion of ragu and no peas!!! Any Sicilian would tell you these are the worst.

Visited the Bath restaurant in November, and had prebooked a table. The food was lovely, and a good selection. The staff could describe all the dishes on the menu. We visited on a Monday lunchtime and when we came to order puddings half of them were out of stock, which I didn't think was good.

We went there for a quiet lunch but their was a lot of noice in the restaurant.
