Description: JAMIE'S ITALIAN BATH A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Set in a gorgeous Georgian conversion in Milsom Place, right in the heart of the town, Jamie's Italian Bath is a great spot for midweek lunches, weekend dinners and everything in between. It also has a chic rooftop terrace boasting some amazing views - the ideal spot for al fresco dining on a sunny day. If you're looking to host a private event or a meeting you can also exclusively hire the Georgian room for up to 28 people, or the bright and spacious upstairs area accommodates up to 70 guests.

My daughter and I had gone on a shopping trip to Cheltenham (we live in Shropshire) and found Jaimie's Italian by accident. We decided to have our lunch there and I have to say what a great experience it was. I love the fact that the menu did not have a single pizza on it. Many so called Italian restaurants have a menu of a few pasta dishes and the rest being pizza dishes. These are not proper Italian restaurants in my book. Anyway, at Jaimies, we were spoilt for choice as to what to eat. The food, when it arrived was excellent, could not fault it and the service likewise. We also loved the ambience of the restaurant but what we found most amazing was that we were eating food prepared by proper chefs at very reasonable prices; prices that us mere mortals could easily afford. All in all, I can thoroughly recomment Jaimies at Cheltenham. Well done to all the staff there for making our dining experience a great one.

The atmosphere is fine and the staff friendly. The food was dry and over priced. Really nothing special. The flavours were not bad but no better than any other chain. The meat was dried out as was the bread.

Portion size was poor and little imagination used in presentation. Two chips served with children's dish.

There is much hype about this place, but the experience has again been very average.

Go if you want to say you've been. Don't go if you want a tasty & good value meal.

Not many places would be able to accommodate a table for 14 on a Saturday night and still offer reasonably priced, fresh and well cooked food.

Booked a week in advance, got treated perfectly, and had a great time.

Food was quick, tasty and not a rip-off and the service was great.

Had a fab meal here, tried flavours I've never experienced before. The service was second to none- knowledgeable but unpretentious. Excellent value. The amaretto and raspberry brownie is a must- try.

Great italian with pedigree - staff alway good, usually busy so be prepared to wait, albeit the wait is worthwhile - great lunch menu for £15 two course served until 6pm i think.
