So many delicious dishes to choose from. We live in the other side of bath but have been visiting Shaad for a long time. Kids love their mild dishes mangomalai, raja & for myself chingry jhool. Oh don't forget to take your own alchol. :))

This is my local curry house, and I've always liked their curries. However a recent 2 star (not good) food hygiene rating, and a bad experience this evening with stop me from returning. Tonight I ordered a vindaloo and boiled rice with a side of saag paneer to take away. Both the curry and the side were not just floating in oil, they were swimming in it. I couldn't actually clean the plate afterwards, I had to leave it to soak in kitchen cleaner and boiled water! I couldn't taste anything but oil so didn't eat much of the food. Very disappointing from a restaurant I've used a lot and trusted, I would no longer recommend the Shaad.

We have had a couple of takeaways from here in the past with no problem and so we thought we would pay a visit. All was good. Very impressed with the standard of food. Not very often do I comment on the pickles and poppadom starter. The service side of things could do with an injection of good humour
Things to note: Stairs to restaurant on the first floor may be a problem for elderly or disabled. Ladies conveniences on same floor as the restaurant but gents on ground floor

My family and myself have visited this restaurant many times over the last few years for either a
sit in meal or take-away.

The food is excellent, compliments to the Chef as you will not find better in this area.
The Staff are very obliging and work very hard.

The let down is the Manager, who really could do with a course on GOOD MANNERS, he is
really rude and never acknowledges any of his customers, he should remember we are
the ones who keep his business going.

Feel sorry for the staff, as all their hard work and efforts is let down by this owner/manager.
