We had a lovely one night stay here. Ian, Alison and Rufus the dog were all very welcoming. We didnt have a GPS so Ian gave us excellent instructions on how to get to High Beeches. What a fabulous house. We had the blue room upstairs. Ian helped us with our bags. The room was perfect. Large, light and bright. Fresh milk for tea and coffee was a bonus. Breakfast is in the dining room with all guests at the same table. Nothing was too much trouble and Ian cooked up a storm. It was great chatting with the other guests. It was so quiet at night that I thought we were the only people staying, so it was fun to exchange stories at breakfast the next morning. There is a great pub 5 mins up the road and if you eat early (between 6 & 7) you get the 2 for 1 deal. There is parking at the back and a bus virtually at the front door (a touch expensive) which takes you straight into Bath. Ian and Alison felt like old friends. In fact we were invited into their kitchen to meet one of their friends who now lives in Aus and ended up chatting for ages. We really enjoyed our stay and would def stay here again. Just ring to let Ian know when you are arriving because if they are home they will let you in before 4pm. They gave us great directions to get to our next destination too. All in all a fab place to stay. Thanks for having us.

Two couples, three nights at High Beeches and couldn't have made a better choice. Alison and Ian are a lovely couple and Ian had the sense of humour we all had which made our stay even more enjoyable winding each other up. Unfortunately the loo in one of our rooms was not working but we were informed in advance and they made arrangements for an alternative loo. Comfortable beds and also plenty of space for clothing. Fresh milk is offered for tea making instead of those horrible little cartons. Alison especially was a great hostess as she had had a knee operation on the day before we arrived and although in great pain carried on cooking and serving breakfast. Ian was a wealth of knowledge, directing and suggesting local attractions. I have no hesitation in recommending High Beeches to family, friends and trip advisor members.

Great place to stay, very nice and caring host, most comfortable beds, best bathroom and shower ever seen - even in multi-star hotels, superb breakfast (cereals!) in a well decorated dining room.
Very clean, host expects taking off shoes in the vestibule and wearing slippers in the whole house.
Calm and friendly dog which stays downstairs, not a single bark during our 2 days & nights.
Calm environment, good pub and restaurant as well as huge supermarket in foot distance, good link to city by bus.

Room Tip: If available take room no. 1, very spacious, great window view.

Probably the best B&B we ever went to. My wife and I stayed at High Beeches for three nights. Everything is great : a warm welcome, a lovely room and a delicious breakfast. Ideally located whether you want to visit Bath or discover other places nearby. Thank you for everything, Ian. We will be pleased to come back !

Room Tip: The Cross Keys pub (5 minutes walk) has a large offer of excellent dishes at a reasonable price
