This was our first visit to La Tasca opposite Bath Weir and it just happened to be Halloween night. All the staff were vividly dressed for the occasion, which added to the ambience and delighted the children that were eating with Mums and Dads. Our waiter was welcoming and helpful. We each chose the starter and choice of 3 tapas option for £9.95, plus hubby ordered a beer and I chose a glass of merlot, which was very enjoyable. The starters arrived quickly - a tasty green salad with dressing/fresh bread and oils, followed by a variety of tapas - all very tasty, particularly the paella and excellent value. My only gripe would be that our tapas arrived a bit too soon as we had hardly begun our starters. However, as the fresh food was served piping hot it didn't prove a problem and we were certainly too full for dessert!

Found this interesting tapas restaurant while sightseeing with our family of 5. The waiter was amazing, describing any unknown dishes and even getting the 4 year olds meal out first without prompting. There were plenty of choices, to suit everyone's taste, including one vegetarian. We each chose to select 3 tapas from a large list for a set price, and didn't go wrong with any of the choices. There is a child's menu also for smaller portions of the same which also includes a drink and dessert. The wine list was limited but we found a delicious light Tempranillo, perfect for lunch. Give this restaurant a chance, it was great fun.

For whatever reason we were not expecting too much of La Tasca, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly, the wine, a Spanish Chardonnay, was good and most importantly the tapas were fresh and excellent.

We have been here several times over the last couple of years. It has moved from it's previous place to opposite the Weir in Bath which, for me, was a bit of a shame as I preferred the atmosphere of the old place. However what hasn't changed is the staff and the quality of the food which are both very good.We popped in here yesterday as a family for lunch which turned out to be our main meal of the day and found the usual friendly warm welcome. We had tapas and our newly vegetarian daughter was able to choose and enjoy her food. We'll keep going back and I would recommend you give it a try if haven't already.

Had lunch here yesterday to round off a fab weekend in Bath & Bristol. lots of great shopping in Bath and found La Tasca after wondering around the town.

We had a selection of Tapas to start which were all great then the new One Pot stews. I had the lamb which was wonderful.

Attentive staff and great views of surrounding Bath.

A nice end to the weekend.
