This is a truly extraordinary restaurant. The food is beautiful and tastes great. No need to be a vegetarian to enjoy this high quality imaginative food. I wish it existed in my hometown! It is a good enough reason to visit Bath. What a delightful surprise!

“Outstanding in every way”

Visited Bath with my wife on a midweek shopping and theatre trip. We wanted a restaurant for pre-theatre dinner that would be special with great food but not the usual fair. We found Acorn on Trip Advisor and it looked ideal with excellent reviews. We've surprisingly never eaten in a vegetarian restaurant before and were not disappointed. Great location near the Abbey. It opened at 5.30pm with a reduced price early dining menu available until 6.30pm that had two starters and two mains from the main menu which was also available. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented with great flavours. The restaurant was soon full and buzzing so make sure you book - we managed to get a table the day before but could have been lucky.

I have lived in Bath for 15 years and have eaten in pretty much all the restaurants. I have just had lunch at the Acorn Vegetarian and was so impressed that I decided to write my first Tripadvisor review. The food here is the better than I have eaten anywhere else in Bath. The attention to detail is extraordinary. Service and ambience are also excellent. The restaurant even smells delicious!

“unbelievably tasty and beautiful presented food at a reasonsable price”

We visited the restaurant on a girls' trip to Bath on the 1st of June. We chose some 6 little plates to share and all had a main too. Everything arrived pretty quickly and was a joy for the eye and for the taste buds. The sourdough bread with dukkah, the chickpea fritters and the onion tart were to die for. Staff members were friendly and polite and you could tell that we weren't the only customers to enjoy a great meal. It made our day out really special and will be returning many more times. I found that the quality of the food has improved from the previous management under a different name while still being very reasonably priced. Cannot praise it enough.

“Fantastic & great for non vegetarians too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2014

I visited on a Friday night and although busy the whole evening was fantastic. The staff were attentive, friendly & professional and had excellent recommendations as it was our first time eating there. The atmosphere is cosy and intimate and the restaurant is nicely hidden in a secluded area, which really adds to the ambience.

The food was also great and although there wasn't lots of selection, quality not quantity springs to mind. Presentation & taste were fantastic and although I'm not a vegetarian the lack of meat on the menu wasn't missed. The Rhubarb and Vanilla Martini is definitely a must try when you go!

Overall, I was really impressed and couldn't recommend this restaurant more. If I had to pick one small fault it would be that it might be a little expensive if you just wanted a quick bite to eat mid week- but perfect for a special occasion.
