A seasonal delight of flowers, shrubs and trees. The pond is full of wildlife and makes a safe area go let the little ones walk. Near by you have the open grass lands and childrens park, very focal in the height of summer.

Went once again to the famous Shrewsbury Flower Show. It is held in the Dingle Park right in the centre of Shrewsbury. The Show is famous world wide but the park itself, which hosts many other events is the star attraction. The main gate is at the top of a great sloping sweep of grass and trees running down to the Severn which borders it all along the bottom. In the centre is a wonderful hidden gem - the Quarry. An area of wonderful trees and shrubs centres by a fountain and stunning bedding displays is there to enjoy. There is also a sheltered water area watched over by Sabrina - a lovely statue. Of course to oe side of the park is the usual children's play area. Do find time to visit when in Shrewsbury - especially in the summer when the Quarry is at it's best.

An amazingly large open space in the centre of Shrewsbury. The river runs alongside it and its popular for joggers and dog walkers amongst others. In the centre is Percy Throwers garden (Percy was the original celebrit6 gardener on TV and with books, and was head gardener in Shrewsbury for many years). The garden closes in late afternoon but there are several metalwork gates which allow late visitors a variety of viewpoints into garden!

A great time was had by all the people who went to the Carnival. It is a great day out and it supports a lot of local charities. Lots of stalls, also on and off stage entertainment. With a town parade of many floats.

Hilly riverside park perfect for running, either by the flat riverside or up the slopes. There is also a park run every Saturday. Children's playground, cafe and toilets also present.

A superb park in the middle of Shrewsbury on the side of the beautiful River Severn. Really well maintained and the venue for lots of events through the year. Good kids playground and only a 2 minute walk to the river boat jetty. Well worth a visit. Oh, and dont miss the fantastic Dingle right in the middle with an ornamental lake and fabulous gardens. All free of charge.
