Did the Wilfred walk which was the longer one at 2 miles. Fairly straight forward. One signpost had been removed and there were a few trails that were probably bike trails heading off that we could have got lost on. The view was worth going for, you could see Shrewsbury to Church Stretton. The sign saying "listen to the bird calls" made us laugh because the quarry was very loud at that point - fortunately you lost it for most of the walk. The cafe lived up to it's hype but it was very popular. The bacon sandwiches were huge.

Haughmond hill is great for mountain biking, with a gentle climb, and a great view with plenty of green to black trails to choose from. There is a few annoying pieces of dog poo but that is solely dependent on the types of people walking there.

Beautiful place to visit, but spoilt by the numerous deposits of dog poo not cleaned up by some dog owners. Sad as its a family friendly place.

This is a wonderful walk with several marked routes. Lots of beautiful views & different pathways through the woods. A really good Café. In winter it has a log burner. Also an outdoor seating area covered for rain or shade. Lovely area.

Plenty of walks around the woods with various lengths, from 20-90/120 mins long, just take a photo of the walks on the info board first or you won’t know which path is which walk as there not well signed.
There’s a good view of the quarry on the eco walk and a good cafe at the car park which does delicious home made cakes as well as ice creams and drinks with a nice picnic and seating area.
The car park is costs £1 up to 2 hours parking.
