Tried to book the Castlecote Guest House, but was unavailable, so was offered the Trevellion B&B. The room was a little shabby, but clean. Beds were comfortable and very clean. It is a long walk to the town, but if dry, you can walk by the river. The B&B is opposite a pub, therefore, if the weather is good, can be a little noisy with people in the garden, but handy if you require a pub evening meal.
The toilet door of our en-suite would only shut three quarters of the way, therefore could be a little embarrassing when going to the loo. Breakfast was tasty. A twin room, with breakfast was £60.00 per night,

It was a pleasant surprise to find a gem of a B&B which has not been extensively reviewed on TripAdvisor. I stumbled on the website of the sister premise of this B&B (the owners also run Castlecote Guest House around the corner) while they are in the process of launching a dedicated website to Trevellion House.
Trevellion House is a warm and cosy house with plenty of bedrooms and plenty more guests. It was full house on the first day we arrived. The booking process was smooth and Sonia was prompt with email responses. The home was much-loved and filled with clean and beautiful furniture. As a seasoned traveller I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the room was generously equipped with plenty of tea/coffee/milk sachets and new bottles of mineral water replenished daily. The en-suite was clean and functional, and fresh clean towels were put out daily.
Sonia was a good cook and provided us with fresh eggs from the hens. There was also an unlimited supply of tea, orange juice and toast! Trevellion House is set on a quiet road and meant that we could not hear any road noise at all and guaranteed a peaceful night's sleep. Most of all I was impressed by how easy-going and welcoming Sonia is, which made the stay all the more pleasurable. She is one of the most generous and kind B&B owners I know. We will definitely be back again.

A really well appointed, refurbished B&B in residential area with relatively easy parking outside, but a pretty long walk from the towns restaurants and amenities. Very helpful (temporary) staff for whom nothing was too much trouble (was looking after the premises for the owners).

Very pleasant rooms and garden with freshly cooked breakfasts. Very quiet at night and good value overall.

Positives: Friendly & helpful owner, Clean very pleasant rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent bathroom, quiet position just a short walk from the town centre. Negatives: Hot water tap ran very slowly probably as we were on the top floor
