“Stunning property, fantastic owners and amazing views,”
Reviewed July 17, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We came to The Granary to stay over for a friends wedding that was being held in the village. On arrival we were met by The Granary's lovely owners, who welcomed us to the area and made sure that we knew that we could ask them anything. Needless to say on entering the property there was nothing to ask! The Granary is a breathtaking property, decorated to the highest standard, with every last detail thought of. The little touches really set this place apart from anywhere else that we have stayed. The decor inside is stunning - the walk in shower was my favourite! The views were beautiful and enjoying breakfast on the balcony whilst looking out on to the country side was the perfect addition to our weekend. I would definitely recommend staying here to any friends and family and we will certainly be back.

“Superb quality accomodation in a great location”
Reviewed May 30, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

On arrival we were greeted by our friendly smiling host who showed us around the cottage which had been recently renovated to a very high standard. A welcome pack of fresh coffee Bara breth & handmade crisps plus fresh milk and a very nice bottle of wine enhanced our arrival experience. The cottage was extremely well equipped with free wi-fi and blu-tooth speakers plus a vast array of lighting options. Our favourite area was the terrace which gave an uninterrupted view of the Shropshire hills and due to the excellent weather we used this area every day. The decor was restful and well chosen and the wet room made us feel as though we were in a 5 star hotel. The location enabled us to visit many National Trust properties and places of interest including Ludlow itself. We used the Park & Ride nearby to travel into the town which contained some excellent places to eat and shop. We would definitely recommend this property.

“Great place to visit”
Reviewed April 6, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

A very cosy and well appointed cottage. Lovely log burning stove, with plentiful supply of logs at no extra cost, unlike other places we have visited. Very tastefully decorated, and lots of nice touches. Lovely balcony with great views. Spacious and warm bathroom, with great shower. We had been left a delicious home made cake, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, most welcome. We would not hesitate in giving this property 5 stars. This was our first visit to Ludlow, but hopefully not our last. We loved the market, individual shops, and lots of lovely places to eat. Great pies at the Church Inn !

“Luxurious and cosy - excellent property!”
Reviewed January 16, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We stayed here for New Year's Eve. The property is tucked away in a rural setting on the Herefordshire/Shropshire border and was a fabulous place to start the New Year.

The property itself was spotlessly clean and luxuriously furnished. The huge walk in shower is bigger than our bathroom at home and the property was toasty warm with underfloor heating. Despite the freezing temperatures we did (briefly!) venture onto the large balcony after midnight to admire a clear and starry night sky to start 2016 (free from the usual street light pollution). Both of us had an excellent night's sleep in in the very large and comfy bed, with complete peace and quiet all around.

We would definitely recommend this property.

“Lovely area, great cottage”
Reviewed December 8, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We really enjoyed the food in Ludlow, and finding a cottage that was so comfortable, with such friendly hosts made our week.

Make sure you try out the French Pantry, at lunchtime. Great Winter/Autumn food...

Highly recommend.

“Luxury”
Reviewed November 21, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Upon arrival at the Granary in Richards Castle, we were enthusiastically shown around by our friendly, smiling hosts and it quickly became plain that we would want for nothing. This lovely refurbished barn was so luxurious one could stay there very comfortably for months! Clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, warm, the best bathroom we've ever encountered anywhere and even a utilities room to get rid of mud etc. and leave our wellies. Then there's a little patio and even a balcony where one can sit/eat/just look at beautiful countryside. The kitchen has everything: a good sized fridge, a proper oven and a microwave -- not forgetting the dishwasher! I would recommend this rental to everyone. This part of the world is stunning and well worth visiting.
