“A lovely place in the heart of Ludlow”
Reviewed November 26, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

What a great place to stay right in the heart of Ludlow. Very cozy cottage for 2. Would really recommend this place. Only downside is the parking in Ludlow, but that is all over Ludlow. All restaurants and pubs are within walking distance.

“just as good”
Reviewed October 15, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

stayed here two years ago and revisited, this time for one week, in October 2016. This is an excellent, quiet cottage. It is very well fitted out and extremely comfortable, and has all the amenities that you would expect. There was a very nice welcome pack of wine, cereal and biscuits awaiting me on arrival. It is close to the town centre but you do not get disturbed by any noise.

The owner (who does not live locally) was very helpful in sorting me out when I foolishly managed to lock myself out of the cottage early on Saturday evening. All the "pre-arrival" arrangements went very smoothly too.

I will certainly visit again.

A couple of very minor criticisms. There was no "non-stick" frying pan so I had to buy my own. And the choice of TV channels is pretty limited (though there are loads of DVDs available)

“Perfect For A Couple”
Reviewed September 18, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

A homely, comfortable if quirky little house, in one of the nicest streets in the middle of Ludlow (and at the quiet end). Five minutes' walk from the castle, the market and most of the shops and restaurants. A well-appointed, well-lit kitchen, equipped with everything - even a radio pre-tuned to Radio4! We were delighted to find on arrival, a welcome pack of goodies and a card, a book of really helpful instructions on just about everything, a comfortable, cosy lounge above with TV, DVD and CD player, a splendid range of books and DVDs to suit all tastes, and above that a sizeable bedroom with an excellent double bed and en suite shower room with complimentary toiletries. We've never enjoyed a holiday let so much, never felt so much at home. This is not one of those places where you feel you've been given an acceptable minimum - the owner really makes every effort to ensure that staying in is just as pleasurable as going out. Highly recommended. Bear in mind that it is an old property and so the stairs are steep and of differing heights, and the floors uneven in places - though for us, it added to its charm.

“Cute English Cottage in a beautiful medieval market town”
Reviewed October 1, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We spent two weeks at 24 Mill Street and thoroughly enjoyed every day. The cottage is a restored Georgian cottage close to the centre of Ludlow and its many shops, grocery stores, pubs and restaurants. It is cute, comfortable, warm and has all of the facilities including modern kitchen and washing appliances needed for a self catered holiday. We would highly recommend the cottage to anyone and would stay here again when in Ludlow. Raymond, the owner, is very supportive, quickly responding to any questions. The welcome pack and the plentiful supplies were very much appreciated. Ludlow itself is a beautiful town and central to many interesting sites throughout Shropshire. We are overseas travellers and found it easy to travel to Ludlow and around the region by train.

“Homely accommodation in excellent location”

A great find! Very well appointed 3 storey Georgian townhouse close to castle and all pubs, restaurants etc. Homely without feeling you were in someone else's home. Lovely quirkiness - exposed beams and winding staircases. Car parking needed thinking about at first, but ticket for first 2 or 3 hours could be bought after 6pm previous eve ( so no need to rush out at 8am!) and all day parking if staying in Ludlow for the day was available for £1 under the castle walls. Not an issue for us at all.
Ideal for romantic getaway.

“excellent place for a getaway”

Stayed at 24 mill street fir four days. Everything about the stay was excellent: the ease of booking and the details received from the owner; the house itself was perfect for a quiet getaway in a lovely market town. It was immaculately clean, with everything you would expect in a top notch rental. It was 2 minutes walk from the heart of ludlow, yet very quiet. I would certainly stay again.
the only very minor complaint was that the shower was a little limp.
note that parking is not free, the property has no off street parking, and to park in the road the property is in costs 2.20 for 3 hours. Charges apply between 8am and 6pm.
