“Fantastic food with attentive, freindly staff”
Reviewed October 30, 2011

Visited for the first time 31/10/2011 on recommendation. I had the chilli ribs ( a giant plateful) with salad and my wife had the lamb shank with veg. Both homemade and very tasty.
Staff & owner very friendly & helpful.
We will be back very soon to try the Sunday Lunch

“Yet another great meal and warm welcome from Ricky & Louise”
Reviewed September 2, 2011

I can't recommend the food here enough, this time we had the loopy chicken and it is just delicious. Ricky is always happy to alter his menu to suit individual needs and both he and Louise make everyone so welcome.

Unfortunately the outside of the pub probably puts a lot of people off visiting, as others have said it probably needs a coat of paint and some flowers/hanging baskets - plus a new 'car park' sign but none of this detracts from the beautiful food you will find inside.

it's on the side of a busy road and you can easily drive by without really noticing it - but if you are on the A4117 between Ludlow and Clee Hill then do keep an eye open for it and you won't be disappointed.

They serve everything from breakfasts and burgers to 3 course dinners and they do smaller portions for those with smaller appetites - do give it a try.

“As a pub - forget it”
Reviewed August 22, 2011

With due respect to all the reviews giving the thumbs up for food at this place, I write this purely reviewing this pub as somewhere to stop for a drink. Verdict - don't waste your time. Its shabby on the outside and not much better inside. If you want to play pool with the locals then fine. A Saturday night in August - car park empty, bar empty. Says it all.

“Seeing is believing!”
Reviewed August 4, 2011

This place is truly astonishing! As others have said from the outside it looks like it has been derelict for 20 years but as soon as you pluck up the courage to go inside you are in for a real treat! The landlord is a true star and the meals are simply to die for! I would have gladly payed double the price for the food we had. The real ale from the local brewery was also fantastic and we could not have wished for a better end to our holiday! Forget Hibiscus, Mr Underhills and Le Becasse, this is the best meal you will have in Ludlow!
