“Well worth a visit - if just for the cafe”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

Good food made from quality ingredients usually costs more than mass produced. It's a fact of 2012 life.
And while mass produced can suffice for everyday living, it's pleasant, as some reviewers suggest, to have some of the good stuff now and again as well.
Not everything here is overpriced. The cafe with friendly staff serves a full cafetiere of fresh ground coffee - two good cupsful - with a generous jug of hot milk (those who prefer skimmed or soya are catered for) for about £2.40. And there are some offbeat offers - have toast and marmalade in the cafe and you can get £1 off the marmalade in the shop.
Fun teddy bear shaped bread, and the famous brown sauce (though a bit on the sweet side for some palates). As good as you will get in Ludlow. Give it a couple of hours.

“Good opportunity to purchase locally produced items”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

This is a good spot for a stop of but dont allocate too much time as its not necessary.
The shop itself enables you to see the produce being made, a bakery, cheese making, butchery and coffe being roasted.
There is a good selection available at the butchery counter and also freshly baked bread.
Its not cheap but good for a special treat, not sure that I wuld pay almost £10 for a quiche though.
There is a coffer shop which looks nice but we didnt try it as it looked like a coach party had just beaten us to it.

“This should become the new Little Chef”

If only this concept could be replicated everywhere. Real food made on the premises and served by happy smiling faces. The shop nearby is really quite an eye opener. freshly baked bread, excellent cheese selection and a very good butchery.

“Don’t expect a day out”
Reviewed May 12, 2012

There’s a lot of hype over Ludlow Food Centre, and admittedly their scones are divine but its nothing special for a visit, it’s a nice supermarket. But expensive. Pleasant for a cup of tea and a slice of cake but don’t expect a day (or even a couple of hours) out.

“Just a supermarket”
Reviewed May 6, 2012 via mobile

Picked up a leaflet whilst visiting acton scott farm and the leaflet made it look very good and interesting.

It is just a over hyped farm shop. No atmosphere and the fresh produce was a disgrace splut potatoes, floppy parsnips, black apples and bananas.
