Description: With a sunny light-filled dining room and two AA Rosettes, Chez Maw restaurant in Shropshire is guaranteed to impress even the most fanatical foodies. Located in Ironbridge near Telford, Chez Maw enjoys picturesque views looking out over the parklands, gardens and the River Severn - ideal for post-dining strolls - and the understated dining room has been recently refurbished in a chic palette of vanilla and blonde wood. The restaurant has a brilliant modern British menu, and we love the pressed Wenlock Edge ham hock and parsley terrine with red cabbage and apple puree; the fillet of Welsh Black beef cooked in a shallot marinade served with potato fondant, buttered spinach and a poached egg; and the mocha panna cotta.

ive eaten at this resturant 4 times and each time have been amazed not to find any "locals" eating, it seems to be overlooked for some of the more obvious places to eat and thats their loss. the food is of great quality really well prepared with a good choice of dishes on the menue, the staff are always friendly and attentive and its just a shame that they dont do more to make it one of the "in places" to dine and drink at in the Ironbridge area. i would definatly reccommed this place

A restaurant to be experienced for its location, ambience, service and above all for the quality of the food.
It rightly deserves the 2**AA awards presented to it consistently over the years which tells you right away that the standard achieved does not change.
The restaurant provides an imaginative menu with a good choice, and a wide selection of wines to accompany them.
The service is good and well organised, all in all a pleasant experience.

A rare example of each course being of the same high quality. Good choice and accurate descriptions, the flavour combinations are well chosen. Seems popular with locals and hotel guests.
