Owner description: This scenic area, often used by moviemakers because of its unspoiled, authentic 18th-century architecture, offers several museums that represent a different aspect of Britain's industrial heritage.

We have been to Enginuity many times now & it's often suggested by our 6yr old when we ask what she'd like to do at a weekend.

We generally spend around 1.5hrs-2hrs herre on a visit though if you weren't intending on going back or hadn't been before you could easily go for longer. There is enough to entertain toddlers, our 2.5yr old boy loves the water & plenty for older children too.

The only food available is a vending machine with the usual crisps, chocolate & flapjack along with a cold drinks vendor & a tea/coffee machine (typical quality!) Toilet facilities are excellent & well maintained.

My only negative about this place is that I think it's not always reaching its full potential. Small inexpensive attention to detail would really make our visits more enjoyable. A few more of the cheapie plastic boats in the water for example, the children love them.

Generally though i'd recommend here for a rainy afternoon activity. Especially if you have a gorge passport, excellent value.

“Very interesting place”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

I have been to this place many times, and we have never had a dissapointed trip, eventhough it is an educational place, it is still quite fun. In all the places, the staff have been friendly and it is generally a nice place to visit. At some of the places around these museums and there are also some greaet views and walks. I would recomend getting a passport ticket as it covers a family for about the same price as paying to enter one event, and you can enter all other places in ironbridge without ahving to pay another penny.

“What a place”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

This place is fantastic as you can see the first ever iron bridge and even walk across it plus the are quite a few museums included on the ticket including the rebuilt town of Blist Hill that alone is worth the cost of the ticket, overall to cover everything you will need a couple of dayss but it is well worth it.

ANSWERING FOR MY 10 YEAR OLD SON. He came as part of a Victorian study at school. He loved it and would happily visit again.
