“Excellent service, great authentic Italian food and good value”
Reviewed December 12, 2011

We visited Vitos on Saturday evening. We're big fans of independent authentic Italian Restaurants. Having recently moved to the area, we were looking for a new favourite Italian Restaurant and we're now happy to say that we've found it. Upon entering the Restaurant, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. It was a very cold evening, but luckily our table was right next to the radiators, which was very fortunate for us. The dining room was pleasant, comfortable chairs. There's lots to choose from on the menu. The house red was a delight. We had the meatballs and sausage with the cheese, tomato and garlic bread - pizza style. Both were absolutely delicious. For the main course, we had 2 of the chicken dishes, which came with an assortment of vegetables and potatoes, which were to die for. Very tasty. We were too full for desserts. The bill was very reasonably priced, i was expecting it to be more. We left them a generous tip for the outstanding value. All of the staff are Italian and very friendly. The blonde waitress was a delight and nothing was too much trouble for her. Will defininitely be going back!

“The Best Italian cooking I have eaten in a very long time”
Reviewed October 30, 2011

From start to finish the night was excellent. The place has a great atmosphere and the staff are welcoming and very knowledgable. There are all the usual italian dishes such as pizza and pasta, however we opted for the more classic regional cooking that you very rarely get in italian restaurants in Sheffield. It was a very welcome change from the norm. Try the truffle fondue which is delicious. The wild boar stew and the venision with artichoke were also fantastic. I've been meaning to go to this place for a while and will be definitely going back. Highly recommended.

“Sheffield's Vito's restaurant captures the best of Italy with every terrific taste”
Reviewed October 16, 2011

From the minute you enter this beautiful, authentic Italian restaurant you are carried away to the Mediterranean with the warmest welcome and a chance to ponder the delights of a varied menu in a cosy bar.
The friendly service always makes this a shared pleasure in a way that one might enjoy a home dinner party among family.
No matter how many Italian meals you may have enjoyed, Vito's dishes have their own individual, terrific, particular, trademark tastes and wonderful qualities born from generations of secret, family recipes.
Having lived in Italy, nothing in Sheffield and for many miles around comes close to capturing the true taste of the country like Vito's.
The rich, beautifully, flavoured sauces caress the palate and blend with the tenderest, finest meats and superbly prepared pastas and vegetables.
Every taste has a wonderfully suited wine to match from a carefully prepared drinks menu and the most marvellous desserts and coffees await to round off the Vito's experience.
So many menu choices leave you no option but to happily return time and time again. The only danger is that once you've eaten at Vito's you may never want to eat anywhere else but here ever again.

“Little Italy in Walkley”
Reviewed October 1, 2011

I went to Vito's with a friend last night after Having had many recommendations. The dining experience was outstanding from the onset! On arrival we were greeted promptly and offered drinks at the bar or if we preferred at our table. We decided to stay in the bar for a drink and have a look at the menu where the waiter talked us through the authentic Italian dishes. We ordered our meals whilst sat at the bar and were seated at our table in the main dining room once our starters were ready to be served. My friend started with the Polpette e Salsiccia (Meatballs and Italian Sausage) while I started with the Cozze (Mussels) cooked in a creamy garlic sauce. Both dishes were full of flavour and generous in portion sizes. The mains were equally as good, we went for the same and had Filetto Al Gorgonzola, this was Fillet Steak with a creamy gorgonzola sauce. Both steaks were tender and succulent, the Gorgonzola sauce was taste sensation. We ended the evening with Limoncello and Amaretto liqueurs. The food and the service at Vito's was exceptional, the entire evening was fabulous and we look forward to returning.

“The best Italian in Sheffield,”
Reviewed September 27, 2011

Had to write to try and balance out the ridiculous and gramatically unique review posted below,
In my opinion Vito, Dom and co cook and serve the best authentic Italian food in Sheffield hands down.
Next trip is booked and I'm counting down the days.
