I was one of a group of around 90 people who booked for a buffet style meal to celebrate a colleague's retirement. We had not booked the entire restaurant. Whilst my colleagues were making short speeches, the restaurant staff were noisily talking and moving furniture directly in front of the speakers to prepare the only remaining big table for some other customers. The staff were rude, aggressive and inconsiderate. The other diners themselves were very considerate, and told the staff that they felt very uncomfortable interrupting the proceedings. I know we didn't have exclusive use of the venue but I feel that the management of the restaurant showed extremely poor judgement in how they handled things. Even if speeches weren't made, they should have planned their seating bettter so that their only other group wasnt positioned on the middle of such a big party. The food was ok.
