Strongly recommend booking here as the budget prices make this place very popular. 2 courses is £10 and 3 is £12, you can even go the whole hog and throw in a half carafe of wine and a coffee and that will set you back £20. The menu changes daily and is written up on blackboards, mostly traditional stuff with a twist. Portions aren't huge so its probably worth going for the 3 course option if you are reasonably hungry. The thing that probably lets it down is the size of the place, lowish ceiling and the open kitchen means your clothes reek of fried food so would definitely advise against ball gowns.
