We stayed one night whilst attending a music event in the area.
Situated in a (very) leafy suburb close to the centre of Sheffield, the Fulwood Inn does its job well - ample parking, nice rooms, the bar has a good selection of ales (including, for those who drink "proper beer", a delicious pint of Jennings Cumberland Ale), the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is very good (no black pudding though - shame).
The room price, including breakfast, was reasonable (we paid £80 for a double room). We had lunch at the Fulwood and the food, while not exactly haute cuisine (think Wetherspoons), was perfectly adequate and again reasonably priced. Four of us had a selection of starters and filled pitta breads for under £30.
My only slight criticisms are (a) that the night entrance (for use after 11.30) is a little difficult to find for the first time, but were you staying more than one night that wouldn't be a problem, and (b|) that as tall people my wife and I both found Room 2's small shower cubicle (with a built-in seat) a bit cramped.
