With a pint of Foster's currently at £2.34 & John Smith's at £2.19, this pub is one of the cheapest in Sheffield & one of the most well known, bang opposite the main bus station & 5 minutes from the railway station.
The customers reflect the prices but don't let that put you off. This is not a pub but a genuine boozer. Very atmospheric, full of life & characters. During the week days, the main customers are pensioners, younger crowd evenings & weekends & a well known haunt for Sheffield United supporters. The Penny Black does the usual pub grub.
A pool table & plenty of tv's showing Sky sport, usually horse racing in the afternoons.
While not the most salubrious pub in the city & perhaps a bit rough & ready for some, a proper boozer with proper Sheffielders, who'll always engage you in conversation.
