Description: INTRODUCING.....THE FLORENTINE! We are new! New name, new bar, new restaurant, new bedrooms, new everything! We used to be called 'The Fulwood Inn' - but over the past couple of months we have worked tirelessly to create our stunning new pub. We have re-done everything, but, not like a bull in a china shop - oh no. Beautiful features have been highlighted and we hope you agree, the building looks the best it has looked in years! We only serve up totally fresh food, using only the best quality ingredients. We'll have daily changing specials cooked up for you by our lovely chefs. Our bar serves delicious draught and wine, and expertly mixed cocktails. Our bedrooms are truly stunning - normal 'pub accommodation', this certainly isn't. Little luxuries all over the place, amazing beds and showers worth writing home about. We hope you're excited, we certainly are! Come and visit us soon!

“Too expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2014

Almost deserted at lunchtime and its easy to see why. No specials, no menu at say £10 for two courses. Food quite good but very slow service, everything charged at the maximum price they can get away with. There are many places that offer far better value. Give it a miss.

“Amazing accommodation and food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

Stayed at The Florentine in the middle of February for a romantic night away. On arrival we were very impressed , the bar and restaurant area looked very rustic and inviting. We booked one of the Suites and I must say we have never been more impressed! Attention to detail was excellent from the Storm Candles, homemade fudge and toiletries. The room itself was a lovely space with two big sofa's, large bed and a bath in the actual bedroom area! We decided to eat in-house, they had a large selection of starters which all looked amazing, but the best part of the meal was the steak! This has to be one of the best steaks i have tasted which was nicely accompanied with a sauce. As a whole this place was a very nice and pleasant surprise and would without a doub

“"Proper Sunday dinner"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014 via mobile

Visited the florentine at lunch on Sunday(23rd) with my family.

We all went for the Sunday dinner. I think it was around £15 for 2 course(slightly more if you have beef I think) which I think is great value for the quality if the food. I had the roast chicken, which was a full half with lovely crisp skin it came with loads of tasty veg including roast carrots, honey glazed parsnip, braised red and Savoy cabbage, broccoli and roast potatoes! Don't get the reviews saying lacking in veg cos there was plenty! It also came with a Yorkshire pudding the size of my head! I then had for dessert chocolate brownie which was lovely rich and gooey!

Drinks are expensive but for the quality of the establishment it can be forgiven

The service was friendly but you can tell they are young with a little inexperience

We'll definitely be back

“Sunday lunch”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

Heard good things but pretty poor. It was very pretentious and so racked the price up to meet this image without actually having good food or service. The staff are all intended to be very 'hip' but aren't very good or helpful. The service was slow, the fish was slimy and the burger felt like something from weather spoons. The roast and pizza were OK, but all in all nothing was worth the overpriced prices. Either be good and expensive or cheap and bad. Don't be expensive and bad. Won't be going back.
