Visited late afternoon on a very cold December day. The chap inside was very welcoming and the coal fires kept us cosy and warm. The food was excellent and made to order. They said 'we don't do fast food, but food as fast as we can' Speed wasn't an issue as we sat in front of the fire. When our toasted sandwiches arrived, they were really good, presented with a lovely little salad. The prices were fine £5.00 for a toasted sandwich with salad and £2.00 for a filter coffee.
The wait for food was enhanced by the antiques and curios that decorate the place, which are also up for sale.
In summer there is a garden to sit in, but not for December!
